I would definitely head back to Grub! I LOVED the fries! They had rosemary spice on them and were just so perfect and crunchy... yum. I had the Hippie Chickpea burger, and I haven't stopped thinking about it. There were so many different flavors and everything melded together perfectly. The bar was really clean, the bartenders very friendly, and just the clientele in general had a positive aura. I would absolutely go back.

Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had, if not the best. I had the ghost burger cooked medium. Meat was tasty, and the sauce and jalapeños didn't overpower, but compliment all the flavors of the meat and freshly cooked bun. My wife had a plain Jane burger and cheese med well and said hers was the best she had ever had too. The fries are fresh and crunchy and skinny, and I loved em. My wife wasn't a big fan, but she likes lightly cooked steak fries so if your into that these are not for you. I actually ate almost all of hers. I had the moonshine apple pie milkshake. I'm not a milkshake fan usually, but I like apple pie moonshine so I gave it a try. I am now a fan of a milkshake. My wife had the mint chocolate chip milkshake, which was a chocolate milkshake with mint chocolate chips. She wasn't a huge fan. The workers here seem clueless, and everyone told us a different place to order. I sat down and a waitress explained how it all worked, so I know better for next time, and apparently better then half the staff. Prices are good. 2 burgers fries and drinks for 25 bucks. I spent around 10 for the milkshakes. I'll Def be going back with the wife again.

I've been here several times now, and have not been (overly) disappointed. The first time was within the first few weeks of opening, which of course was hectic and strange with the ordering then waiting for a table with a buzzer that seems to do nothing. The food was great, but we had an issue with our shakes not coming out until we finished our meal. It was new and busy- no big deal. We later returned for Cinco de Mayo after a long day and were only mildly disappointed by their margaritas. Again, the food was still great. We returned again for Mother's Day with a large group (two families) and still had an issue with drinks arriving in an appropriate amount of time (only 2 out of 8 had bar drinks). We also had an issue with a missing burger and mixed up sides. It was eventually figured out, but sucked to watch my sister not have a meal while everyone else was eating (after she insisted). Again, the burgers were great and please a bigger crowd. At this point, I have probably tried a bite of at least every burger and have loved all of them (especially the thai peanut). This place REALLY needs to step up their service, especially when it comes to drinks. It's also confusing to have your card charged multiple times for your meal then any additional drinks. Also, is tipping before even being seated advantageous? I have only tipped modestly at most because it is unclear how the service will actually be. Overall, the atmosphere is fun and the food is good, but the service process needs some work.

Good juicy burger although they have to figure out a way to get the middle of the thick patty hotter. Good selections and great shakes with and without alcohol. Also can eat at the full service bar

Finally, a place in Willow Grove that takes their burgers seriously. The burgers are cooked to order, so I got my voodoo burger cooked medium and it was perfect. Patty was juicy and tender, brioche bun was warm and buttery. The skinny fries were delicious, and since they are slim, you get a LOT in an order! Mmmmmm. Good choice in drinks selection - apart from fountain soda, there's also various iced teas. Good options for those who don't drink soda (like me!) And for the grown-ups, there's a full bar with good handles of beer, along with a bunch of specialty cocktails and malts. Service still needs a little work, but the staff seem generally friendly. I did ask for a to-go box post-meal, and i think she forgot because I saw her just chatting behind the counter after awhile. A different person came by and asked if we needed a box, and she quickly returned to our table with one. The skinny fries also comes with your choice of side condiment (chipotle ketchup, BBQ, etc). But I was not offered any while ordering. It was only after sat down and started eating did I realize it, so I walked back to the counter to request it. She happily complied, but it would've been nice to be offered the option when I ordered. All in all, the food was very good. The service just needs minor tweaks. Not a total dealbreaker, so I definitely would return.

An overall nice place with great burgers, friendly staff, and a cool atmosphere. The only draw back is the high prices, and they are only a tad high. Basically its center city prices in the suburbs. Theres a wide variety of different types of burgers to try. The Ghost Burger is great if you're into spice and some "heat". If you don't mind spending a couple extra dollars, you will enjoy this place.

I would give this place 4 stars because the burgers are tasty but the quality control and customer service need a little work. I have a gluten intolerance and ordered my burger with a gluten free bun (which they charge $2 extra for) and my burger came out with a soggy bun with a big whole on the top. I went back and asked for a new one which they gave me, but it also had a mangled top with a hole. I said, "oh so I guess they are all this way" and their response was just, " yeah sorry" If I'm gonna pay 2 dollars extra for the bun at least make it a good one that doesn't look like someone took a bite out of! Please!

The food was good but customer service needs some major work. We have a toddler so we made sure to stop by early Friday night before the dinner rush. There were plenty of open tables and seats available but my wife got hassled about sitting at a table while I was in line placing an order for the family. For those who have kids, you all know it's tough waiting in line with a toddler and all the additional bags required for him. As for the food, it was good. The burgers were juicy and sat on a bun that was not to substantial but not to flimsy where the juices totally overtake the bun (ie shake shack). The standout for me was the Harlem Chicken Tenders which were very fresh. The onion rings also deserve a mention. The ambiance was also impressive and the prices were reasonable for a burger place not named McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, etc... Too bad the customer service marred my family's overall dining experience.

I like the self-service ordering, the set up, atmosphere and the food, but definitely a star off for the prices. Sure the quality is good, but my total order was $18 (one burger, sweet potato fries and a shake). That's a full 3 course entree at other places. So my salmon burger was great, loved the bread. The apple pie shake was soo good, and tasted just like apple pie! Overall this is a fun place to go with a few friends, for a more upscale fast/healthier food place just get ready to splurge. Also, they only had one vegetarian option (the chickpea burger).

It's OK...if you ask me its a Mc Donalds that serves alcohol. If I don't tip the order taker at Mc Donalds I'm not tipping the order taker here. The fries suck...there too skinny and over fried..burger was good. Serve that burger with some waffle fries now your talking!!!

Love, love, love this place! We had been told to visit there from some friends and after looking up reviews, I felt meh, figuring it would be like every other trendy burger joint in the area and in Center City. Guess what? It's not! Why? Because of it's amazing bar!! So first off, great beers on tap. They have a full bar and even offer spiked milkshakes. The burgers are tasty and ground fresh daily, as is expected with a place like this. Hubs and I both ordered Lochhart legends and my sister in law got the Guacapolte burger. She couldn't stop raving about her burger and we loved ours as well. The fries are shoestring (my fave) and have a tasty seasoning on top. What pushes this review to 5 stars is the trendy decor. The place just looks like a fun time. We walked in and immediately thought: "we can't wait to bring friends here." There are tables and booths and large enough ones to fit large parties. The big tables have signs on them requesting that smaller parties do not sit there to save room for bigger groups. So while tonight was our first time visiting, we will definitely be back. Bonus: The young boy walking around is the son of the super friendly owner. He helped our waitress and did so with a smile. You could tell he had a lot of pride in his family's restaurant!

"Ehhh" is all I can say. My third visit....my first visit was better. The worst part was that their shake machine was "down." Come on, how can you allow that to happen and not get it fixed ASAP!

I really enjoyed my visit here. The burger was great, very flavorful and a good size. It is expensive at $7-8 a burger and $2.50 for fries. Plus the drink is an additional price. I like the fact that there were lots of different sauces to choose from like the jalepeno ranch, spicy ketchup and others. They are also really flexible about customizing burgers and changing toppings. My only disappointment was the fries. These were shoe string frozen fries similar to McDonald's and I prefer real/hand cut potato fries, especially at this price.

Stopped into Grub yesterday while in the area finishing some Christmas shopping. The service was great from the start but it's a little confusing determining what type of restaurant they are trying to be. For example, you order from a counter and are then given a buzzer. But our food was brought right to us...why the buzzer? Also, the busser checked in on us a couple times. Not a bad thing at all, but it was unclear if we needed to tip her or what? It's all great feedback but we were just confused as to the process and flow of the restaurant (which seems to shift from review to review on Yelp.) As far as food, I am surprised to see some Yelpers left hungry. I am 18 weeks pregnant and a hearty eater, in general, and left completely full. Got the Front Porch burger which was cooked perfectly but super greasy (Grub, if you're reading, a little less butter on those buns!). The sweet potato fries and onion rings were both awesome. All in all this is a great local option for a good burger. Would definitely choose over Five Guys.

Food's not bad. Guy who took the order didn't know what the hell he was doing. "Can I get an order of sweet potato fries on the side?" "Okay so you want to combo." "No, I just want it on the side." "What? How do you do that?" The hell?

First time here. We must have walked in the wrong door because we had no idea that we were supposed to get menus from the person working the other door and get a table reserved for us while we got in line to place our order. Seems like an odd system to put people into a line and pace taking orders based on table availability. Within the first 30 seconds of sitting down, I heard the guy next to me say "yeah, my fries were good but they had a hair in them..." followed by the commotion of reporting the hair, getting the manager to hear about the hair, rectifying the hair, etc. Over 15 mins later our drinks still hadn't been delivered and I had to flag down the manager (?) to ask if they were coming, while she was checking on the drinks our food was being delivered to the table behind us... 5 mins after I start to eat my "turkey burger" a girl comes out flustered that I am not eating a turkey burger but a salmon burger instead (not a fish eater, the thought is gross but it actually wasn't that bad). They immediately whisk away my salmon burger... Laua fries - pretty tasty Harlem chicken tenders - ok, not that crispy Turkey sandwhich - meh Melon basil margarita - ok tasting but really weak Just kind of one crappy interaction after another leaving an overall crappy experience - seemed like the had just opened and are still trying to figure it all out.

Tucked off the side of Easton Road in Willow Grove is a new burger concept restaurant. It is a fast casual restaurant, that hand grinds the beef every day, they also have other burgers, made of turkey, fish or chickpeas. I ordered a burger medium rare with Guacamole chipotle aioli, and cheddar. The burger was cooked to temperature, the bun was fresh, and overall a good burger. There are a lot of flaws, the fries are frozen, they do not have build it yourself options on the menu, and the flow of customers in the store is confusing at best. The hostess is also refilling drinks, bussing tables meaning she may or may not be there when you come in. The bar is good, but the restaurant cannot even keep the air out of their beer lines. Management has a lot of work to do to improve the customer's experience.

This place is in Willow Grove (19090), NOT Hatboro. GrubBurgerBar.com/philad… GrubBurgerBar.com/files/… I had previously written to manager Evan Chizik, who replied in 9 min (even after midnight), about gluten-free options; they optionally provide a g-free bun (from LocalOven.com in Carrollton, TX), but an additional charge $2 for it; as g-free buns go, it was decent. We had the Hippie Chickpea non-meat burger (QUITE flavorful - 5/5 stars), You're My Boy Blue beef burger (4/5), onion rings (4/5), and a Salted Caramel shake (4/5 for flavor, but 1/5 for price - 4.75 - given its size - about 1/2L). During our Fri afternoon visit, Mr. Chizik was present and visiting with diners. Service (5/5) was prompt & attentive. Overall, pretty good for a chain restaurant. Parking, by the way, is limited.

Wow. Definitely returning there again. I never thought the place was anything but some crappy fast food joint.... Unappealing name tucked in next to a gas station...Probably trucked in pre packaged stuff I probably have to nuke. .man...Totally wrong on that one. This place is a Fuddruckers but with a higher eye for quality and customer service not to mention a full service bar. They lost a star because there's no desert but it's all in all a great burger joint.

Just had my first Grub experience yesterday, and even took some pictures this time. I didn't know of this place before, and had no idea what to expect. I'll admit that we had just suffered some "where to eat" politics with our 10 year old, and were walking in a little bit agitated. This is bad news usually, but when I found out that they operate a cafeteria style approach to service, my frown was turned upside down. Now I'm just as much of a food adventurer as much as the next guy who loves burgers, but my grumpy attitude was working against me while I gazed the menu. I just didnt have the patience to really think about what all these ingredients would taste like together. So I went with my instinct, and picked something in less than 5 seconds. We decided to order 4 burgers for 3 people, cut them, and share all of em. That worked out fine. And the food was excellent. All of it. I was a little surprised in myself to find the Thai Peanut winning the trophy. I would never order that on my own, so this is an example of why shared plates lead to great new experiences with flavor. Other items we ordered were the Lockhart Legend, Baja Shrimp (a special which is going away soon), and for the kiddo , The Front Porch (a standard burger). So why a4 star rating, and not 5? THE PRICES!!! I was under the assumption that the prices listed came with sides. So we gave 2 "yeses" for fries (shoestring and delish btw), and got two milkshakes, and this came to $60.00!!!! Thats too much!!! We didnt have alcohol!!! If this had been dinner time and I just ordered as I would anywhere else, I'd have to leave and go sell a kidney first!

Food is great, atmosphere is comfortable and the shakes are delicious. Note to parents, I could not find a high chair. Maybe not great for little little ones.

After my first experience was so/so the owner offered me a comped meal to try it again, which was very thoughtful. This time I had the salmon burger, fries and a plain vanilla shake. The salmon burger was pretty nice. It was cooked perfectly and non-fishy. I also had fries instead of onion rings this time and they were very nice. (The onion rigs are excellent, too.) I just really do not like the shakes here, though. They taste foamy and cheap...like there's some kind of filler and they are very syrupy sweet. That's OK, though. You can't please everyone. Besides the shakes I wouldn't hesitate to eat here any time. I want to try the tuna burger next.

This was my first visit to Grub. I walked in not knowing what to expect, but given all of the other burger places I had been to I was pleasantly surprised that the set up was unique. Nice big bar, full room of diners, beers on tap with a full bar, and so much potential! I wanted to love this place. I sat down at the bar. And the first thing I noticed was that I could only count what appeared to be a couple of people who are actually working. The poor woman at the bar was overwhelmed and overloaded. I'd give her a solid 4 1/2 stars for effort. Finally managed to put in an order. My burger eventually arrived way over a cooked. It was the driest and hardest hockey puck like burger that I've ever eaten. I'm a huge fan of sweet potato fries. But for whatever reason, they somehow managed to also make the sweet potato fries taste slightly charred and burnt. Tack on a dogfish 60 minute IPA and my tab was $17.97. Tack on a five dollar tip in cash. Always tip your servers in cash! Grand total, $22.97. I just can't imagine that a family of four would have to go in and spend $100. Not because the kids are drinking, but because the milkshakes are the same price as the beer. In the grand scheme of things. I could go to five guys and get their burger and large order of fries, stop somewhere and pick up a sixpack of beer, and that would be a better investment. My suggestion. Hire more people. Don't cook your burgers for so long. If they're hard to the touch, you have to let it go. It just wasn't worth sending out a clearly overdone burger. UPDATE: My original review was two stars. So I have to say that I haven't been back (hopefully will return soon with my 10-year-old milkshake aficionado) but I respect a leadership group willing to stand by its product. I admit that I've never sent anything back. I usually just suck it up, eat what I can and don't return. But in this case, Evan C. from GRUB reached out to me and said let me make it right. That's all people really care about. It's not about the expense. It's about being heard. When a business has leadership committed to making it right, you just know that my experience is probably a blip. You just have to respect that and give them the benefit of doubt.

Grub is cool. It's like a suburban, family-friendly version of PYT. The atmosphere is cool, not too comfy, definitely bar-like, so I don't think little children would enjoy sitting their for too long. The food is average. They have various options, from your regular bacon burger to sandwiches made without beef (salmon and shrimp). I also saw a few salads that looked pretty good on other people's plates. I had the crawfish snack, which was tangy and tasty. My burger was the Guacapotle. It was cooked medium well and was very juicy. The beef tasted fresh. The skinny cheese fries were okay. It's like melted shredded cheese. I prefer whiz. Overall, this place is probably better than PYT because the prices are better. The actual patties don't taste better than Five Guys, though they do have a variety of toppings and alternatives (five guys doesn't have a variety to choose from though). I noticed only one option for beef too. I enjoy kobe, so that would've been nice to see in the menu.

Good burger. The fries were to die for. Must admit, was underwhelmed by the milkshakes (Nutella and Dirt). Cool vibe.

I've been here 3 times and have enjoyed most everything I've ordered. The Hippie Chickpea burger (so far) is my favorite thing on the menu. The first time I had it, it was as listed on the menu - even though I normally like goat cheese, it was a bit much flavor-wise. The second time I had the HC I switched out the goat cheese for swiss and it was a lot better! The tabbouleh is really good and such tasty ingredient for this burger. Good beer selection. Full bar. I've also had the following items: Harlem Chicken Tenders - chicken is juicy and was fried just right, nice and crispy. I liked that the batter wasn't heavily salted but still had good taste. The Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce was different, not my favorite. Grub Skinny Fries - they're just okay. Onion Rings - really good, large and perfectly fried. Dee-licious!! Side Salad - fresh and crispy, nice size for a side salad. balsamic vinaigrette is standard. Bourbon & Caramel Spiked Sake - is a must try, you can really taste the bourbon!

Fell in love w this place!!!! Very modernized and hip atmosphere even though it's fast casual which will fit very well in the younger crowd. The self ordering is different however I can see that it will be a pain in the butt bc you can customize your burger and there's only one or two ppl behind the counter. But I think it's a perfect place for lunch to grab a beer or two and the food is delicious! Staff is super friendly too!

I have never been to this place so I decided to try it for lunch today. The menu is extensive with lots of different types of burgers using beef, lamb, salmon, tuna, and veggie burgers. The restaraunt uses the model where you place your order, sit down and then a server brings your food. Overall the food was excellent. Highly recommend the blue Cheese and onion burger but the waitress was less than pleasant, talking about me to another group of patrons. When I confronted her, she denied it. Overall the food is good but not worth the unpleasantness of the server. Maybe it was just a bad day and I will try again but there are lots of places out there for hamburgers.

The burgers are ok, but I feel that I can get a better burger somewhere else and for cheaper. The inside is very nice and they have a couple different choices of burgers, but to me the burger was dry inside.

I'm the Activity Director for a Senior Living facility and we went to Grub Burger for lunch today with our residents and they deemed it Lip Smacking, Finger Licking Good! The staff couldn't have been nice or more accommodating! This is the 3rd time I've been here personally and the 1st time for the rest of our group, who are looking forward to going back! We had everything from Chilli and Cheese Fries, all kinds of delicious burgers and of course delicious thick handmade milkshakes! Yum!

Hubby and I went there on Saturday night on a whim, just cravin' a burger. Excellent meal! I am NOT a fan of the line, however. I understand the concept, but what a PIA, and I could imagine it would be worse if you had kids in tow. We were in line a long time -maybe 20-25 minutes - because the line reached out the door. Once we got to the counter to order, however, everything went quickly. Hubby had the featured Moroccan Burger (lamb, on a grilled pita), which was outstanding. He would order it again. I had the Boy Bleu Burger, which was also a winner. We shared onion rings, which were the best I've ever had locally, and sweet potato fries. He had a beer, I had wine. The food was delivered to our table very quickly, but the drinks were s.l.o.w. If I had been hungrier, I would have tried a milkshake - they looked wonderful! All-in-all, a great place for a great burger. We live close by, so I can see many visits in our future, and working our way through the menu. Just be prepared for that wait in line!

OK, this place is pretty good. I went here a couple times over the holidays. (Where were all these places when I was growing up in Willow Grove with no food options???) If you're into milkshakes, I highly recommend the Dirty Worm. There is a surprising amount of vodka in it and it is large. I could only finish half of it (because I can't eat that much ice cream at once) and I was still tipsy. The cheeseburger was also great and I recommend the onion rings. I think this place would run smoother if you just sat down and ordered food from a waitress, rather than have someone hand you a menu in the doorway and order at the counter. Both times I went I just sat at the bar and ordered food there.

Great burger joint! Came here for late lunch and ordered the Texas Luau burger with sweet potato fries. They easily accommodated my request to omit the pulled pork and I was more than satisfied with my burger. Super tasty and juicy. Definitely would return next time I'm in town.

Grub Burger was a fairly pleasant surprise. Having never heard of this particular chain that seems to hail from Texas, I was skeptical of yet another burger chain popping up in the suburbs. The self-service set up is a refreshing take - you order your food at the front registers as if at a fast-food franchise and then choose your seating after moving through the line. Unfortunately, if a staff member isn't at the door to direct new customers, the flow gets disrupted when they try to choose seats before ordering thus taking spots from people who have hot food on the way. I was also annoyed by those single customers who, instead of choosing a seat at the bar, would take up whole four or six-tops during the busy dinner hours. When the restaurant starts getting very busy, a staff-member goes through the ordering line and takes customer names to reserve seats for them as they come out of line. This is helpful in ensuring that you don't stand around like a deer in headlights looking for seats. I was pleased to see that management was on the floor to help with flow and clueless customers which seemed to really cut down on confusion. The burger choices are numerous and creative. I particularly enjoyed the burger topped with chipotle guacamole. I found the burger to be well-cooked but moist and flavorful on a fluffy, buttery brioche bun. They do advertise that they grind their own meat daily. The french fries looked rather anemic to me (they are "shoestring") and I opted for onion rings which were substantial (at least 6 rings as big as my palm) and cooked to a perfect crisp. The orders are delivered fairly quickly after ordering. You can grab a soft drink from the fountain or have something more adult from the bar. There $4 margarita was quite good - about 16oz, well-blended, and nicely chilled. They also offer Happy Hour specials. In addition to burgers, they also offer chicken tenders, non-beef burgers (veggie/turkey/salmon) and surprisingly good looking salads which means that this spot just might appeal to that picky person in your party. I think this would be a great place for eating before a round of bowling up the road at Thunderbird Lanes or a movie at Regal. Don't forget to tip. Just because your table isn't covered by an individual server doesn't mean you get to keep that extra cash. You can tip at the register when you pay or you can leave a tip at your table. Tips are divided among the staff at the end of the night (this is information I received per the manager).

Setup is confusing. Needs proper explanation for first timers. Bar drinks come slow. Food is good but not stupendous. Hard to find a table after ordering food and sometimes nothing is available and you have to hold back in ordering your food until a spot clears out. I do love the fact that they offer gluten-free buns!

My whole family loves grub burger from my kids toy picky mother! It's rare we all agree on a restaurant. I appreciate their organization on a Friday or Saturday nights. This is a cafeteria style restaurant, but they take pride in making sure everyone is seated and happy. We did start something bad the last time we went because now my kids want a kitchen sink milkshake every time we go!! I love the guac burger but, I wish it had a big piece of tomato on it. So, I just order tomato. :)

I could give no stars if I could. Didn't eat here. I just wanted to sit from standing all day and my boyfriend was in line to order for me. The owner told me I couldn't sit because I didn't order yet when clearly three people in front of me didn't order and they sat down and was given drinks with no buzzers. I said its my first time here others did it so why can't i. His reason was and I quote "ITS MY PLACE THIS IS HOW IT GOES" I turned around and he was saying something about me aloud to his staff and my boyfriend and I left. I will never give this place a try ever again. And guarantee my family or friends will not be here.

First off, let me say, I have visited this place on at least four occasions and all times except once, I was extremely disappointed with my meal. They seem to do a great job with their beef burgers however, steer clear of their other patties . The chicken, turkey and shrimp patties are atrocious, too high in sodium, has minimal meat and more filling , just nasty. I ordered the Baja shrimp burger today and that was the biggest mistake I've done all day. I had to throw away the shrimp patty and just had the veggie on buns. One things that has been consistently good here is the onion rings.... Since I'm not a big beef eater, I won't be back here for a while. Customer service has always been awesome and place is extremely clean so for that, they get 2 stars. UPDATE::: got sick off of their food last night. Changing to 1 star and won't be back!!!

This is my second time here and the food is very good but tonight my burger came out near raw and the situation was handled very poorly especially by the owner Evin. I loved how he told me that a medium well burger should be pink in the middle. He will be the reason this place goes down hill fast

This place is awesome! I totally loved it! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a nice lunch here. We ordered a beer, an alcoholic milkshake, the guacapotle burger and the Lockhart legend burger and fries. The food was absolutely fantastic. The buns especially were super soft and you could tell they were baked freshly. The quality seemed to match the price, our meal all together was about $32. Not bad, right? The atmosphere was also quite superb. Within the restaurant there was every time of age group, gender, race and demographic. It has a calm, modern theme with a slightly hipster/rustic twist. The big windows and open ceiling make the building seem light and welcoming. After reading some other reviews, id have to agree that the service is just a tad slow. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was quick to acknowledge us and get us drinks, but after getting our food we waited at least 15 for the check. However she seemed very busy and her friendliness made up for it. We will be returning definitely.

The system of operation is a joke. Food was ok at best. Small burgers. Not cheap for what little you get. I had the OMG burger. Omg is right, very small!

Met a friend here for lunch today and was instantly impressed. Very nice hostess at the door handing out menus and explained how the ordering process works. Guy at register very friendly and accomodating. My friend and I both got the Jive Turkey burger and it was insanely delicious. So juicy and flavorful. We also split the sweet potato fries which were just as good. Looking forward to coming back with my kids and having a drink at the bar.

Not bad, with a limited menu you better get it right! Little on the pricey side but will go there occasionally

A really great burger joint! My friends and I had fish burgers (two salmon, one tuna) and they were amazing. Very juicy, and not at all fishy. The side salads were perfect. Can't wait to go back and try other items.

Burgers are great and they have the best skinny fries!!! They make all the burgers medium-well but to me the middle is more like medium. The one time I asked for well-done it was way too done. So I take them how they are but don't eat the very middle. My husband LOVES this place.

Really Cool Atmosphere and concept. Slightly long wait in line to order and then be seated. Generous sized burgers with adequate beer selection. Downside is a very young and inexperienced staff with no Sense of urgency but VERY friendly. decent for the price though.

From door to dinner in 25 well-organized congenial minutes! Oh, did I say delicious. My Mule (martini riff) beverage and smokin' hot Ghost burger was ha-ha-hooooooAhhhhT and th memory's burned into my palate. My friend, a lover of Avocado in all its forms. loved the Guacapotle. It was hard to share the onion rings: they were too good. Nice lighting. Inexpensive but "clean" decor. Interestingly enough, Zoës Kitchen located in same building of this new "plaza" construction was absolutely empty. The vote has been cast. Now go enjoy.

Limited choices for anything different by the willow grove mall led me here. Decent food, selection of burgers could be bigger although I'm sure they would accommodate a request for something different. Beers are standard fare and pricing normal for this type. A step above 5 guys wtc.

I was craving a burger and Grub hooked it up. Delicious fresh burgers. Great atmosphere and a nice bar area. I'll be back... I've been here 4 times already. :-)

We just stopped in on a whim and it was AWESOME! So glad we checked it out, especially since we almost went next door to the Kitchen place. Hit the spot with a beer, burger, and kick ass dessert milk shake! Will be back, with our vegetarian friends!

Saw this place had just opened, so I decided to check it out. There was an intimidating looking line stretching out the door, but it moved very quickly- it wasn't nearly as bad as it looked. I tried the Lockhart Legend burger, and it was pretty darned good. Not the best burger I've ever had, but I have absolutely no complaints about it. The fries, on the other hand, were like manna from heaven. I can't say enough good things about the fries. I swear they must use crack for seasoning, because I just left but now I want more. The staff all seemed to be very friendly. Depite being very busy, they were readily available. I highly reccomend checking this place out, and I will most certainly be going back myself.

Had not heard of Grub Burger 'chain' before but very glad a local car dealer suggested we try it when dropping a car for repairs. Restaurant and bar area is well laid out and very clean. Been there twice now. Burgers are cooked to order and delivered to table piping hot. Onsite assistant manager Tracy was keeping things running very well during both our visits. All staff members were attentive and friendly. Try the 'Kitchen Sink Milkshake' for dessert. Absolutely delicious and a pretty unique flavor combo.

Took my kids here on an impromptu night last week for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! It's nothing fancy. Probably a step up from five guys or burger monger. The milkshakes are AMAZING! Service is good. Kids loved it. We'll be back. 4 of us had burgers, fries and milkshakes and we dropped $50.

Been here twice, the first time right after opening and was not impressed at all. Decided to give them another try and was amazed by the difference. Ordered a You're My Boy Blue burger and it was one of the top five burgers I've ever had. My only complaint is ordering alcohol is awkward/confusing especially if you want a second drink.

I love with this place. When there on a Saturday night. The line was very long and I didn't want to wait 30+ minutes, so I took my food to go. The milkshakes are a must have. This time I had the Guacapotle and it was delicious.

Great burger place, they have a variety of different types of burgers. The meat is cooked perfect and always delicious. They have some great milk shakes too. My whole family loves going here. Parking isn't the best and it can get crowded on the weekends...but worth it.

Burgers were ok but the service was straight up horrible. 3 of us sat at the bar and it took a bartender 20 mins to even acknowledge us. Once we ordered are food and drinks she brought the wrong beer and it was in a cracked glass. She also had to come back and ask us what we ordered for food because she didn't write any of it down. I told the waitress about the beer and glass, she threw out the glass and still brought the wrong beer back. We decided to just let it go and drink the beer. Once we were finished with dinner we ordered another round of beers and a box for my leftovers. We ordered a different beer and she said ok , I then watched her go over to the taps and stare at them Blankly because she obviously either didn't hear Me or didn't know which beer I had ordered. So again she brought the wrong beer. After another 15 mins she still had not brought me a box, I had to ask a passing food runner for it. We of course wanted to try the alcoholic milkshakes , which took her another 15 mins to acknowledge us to ask us if we wanted dessert. The milkshakes were huge and Tasty but definitely recommend sharing one. To get the bartenders attention to ask for the check was of course a whole nother endeavor. Finally had to flag a different bartender down to get our check. With it being a brand new spot I expected so much more. Overall I don't think I'd go back.

Have been to grub about 6 times and have had consistently good food and service dispite how busy and packed they always are. They have the best burgers in the area. And by far my favorite fries. Their apple pie milkshake is no joke! My only complaint is that we always have to park in the lot across the street because there is very little parking. Which isn't really that big a deal but when it's freezing out it's a bit annoying.

This was our second time to Grub. The first time I only had a salad which was really, really good but didn't warrant me writing a review. This time did. We went on a Saturday night at 6:45 and the place was packed...The line wait was not horrible and they served milkshake samples to us. The line was out the door and people were holding both doors open so a cold breeze came in. We got to the order cashier, placed our order which included alcoholic drinks and were seated at a table for two. Our burgers were delivered with sweet potato fries but the 2 sauces we ordered were not there and had to ask for them again. Drinks did not arrive until we were halfway done with dinner and had to ask 3 times for them. How hard is it to make a Chardonnay? I could have had two but since it was delivered so late there was no point. The food...I had the You're My Boy Blue burger which tasted great but the bottom bun was nowhere near the size of the burger...way too small...Hubby had the same issue with his Guacapotle burger. The burgers are good, nice flavors. Issues: The buns were too small on the bottom, too greasy and mine was way too chewy. The sweet potato fries have a good taste but they were limp with no crispiness at all. The chipotle ketchup is good, hubby liked the jalapeno ranch. Were they stand out? No. Very, very average. Would I go out of my way to go here again? Probably not. I like the concept but they need to work on execution.

My family went here this evening after seeing it earlier in the day. I like burgers and wanted to see how this stacked up to two other options in the area. First, be prepared to wait. You stand in line to make your order. It was a long wait in line. And as you are in line, some guy comes around and reserves a table for you. Yes, it is a bit odd. I would guess people like this burger place because it serves alcohol. And adult milk shakes. I ordered the front porch burger. There was no asking how it should be done. But, it came back done alright for me. It had tasty seasoning on it and was fairly decent. The fries were pretty good as well. But, you pay extra if you want any side. The milk shake I ordered, was a mint chocolate chip. I never really tasted mint in it, at least not strongly as I'd like. It had chunks of chocolate, I think. It was kind of bland or waxy tasting more than anything. I think the shakes were a fail compared to other establishments I have been to. Not very thick for one thing, and I just expected more flavor. My wife ordered a salmon burger and enjoyed it. My son had a grilled cheese and strawberry shake. He seemed to like the grilled cheese. I'd say with the wait time that you have to stand and sup bar shakes this goes down as an average place. I'd much rather go to the two other burger spots before returning here.

Amazing, amazing milkshakes. First off, the variety of flavors will have you drooling. Apple pie to salted caramel to kitchen sink. I myself ordered the Nutella shake and it was pure delight. The sweet potato fries with "rosemary dust" were great, so flavorful. The salmon burger I got was not great, on the dry side and bland. Since this is a burger place, maybe their actual beef burgers are better. The strangest thing about this place is the way it's laid out. There's a narrow space where customers line up to order but it's the most direct path to the bar, so the employees are constantly making you squeeze to the side as they walk back and forth to get drinks. Pretty poorly thought out construction.

What an awesome experience all around! Great restaurant - vibe is amazing, food is delicious, and service is spot on! We had the OMG burger - chili and fries, the blue cheese burger, the ahi tuna burger, and the napa salad. Everything tastes so fresh (they bake their own buns and grind the meat)! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Win! This place has it all. A unique burger and non burger menu that is going to have me coming back more often than I am going to admit, to try everything. Great drink menu too. Looking forward to going back without the kids for spiked milkshakes. Kid friendly, and noteworthy awesome staff. Everything we tried we liked. Great bun, great pickles, great fries, great onion rings, great everything.

I've tried a few different burgers here, from the Kitchen Sink to the OMG. They're all sooo delicious. The burgers are (prepare for dreaded word) moist and succulent. The fries are crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. How do they do that?! My husband and I like to slather everything in the jalapeno ranch. I'm looking forward to trying one of their alcoholic milkshakes as soon as I can find someone to split it with, but I'm sure it'll be as good as everything I've had there!

8 or 9 dollar burgers without and sides.....another 5 for a side of fries and a drink...then you need to tip...expect to pay 40 bucks for burgers and fries.....im not cheap but thats too expensive.....everything is expensive nowadays though i guess

Haven't had one single bad thing from here. The burgers and shakes are delicious and the prices aren't too bad. Have not had the opportunity to actually sit in there yet because they are always so busy.. also not a fan of the ordering situation in there (you have to stand in line and order at a counter and then they bring it to you) we always end up getting take out... but other than that great establishment, friendly staff and yummy food!

Came to check out the new place in town and was pleasantly surprised! This place is GOOD! Had to wait about 20 minutes to place our order because it was so crowded. They handed out menus and had samples of their milk shakes. None of us liked the vanilla bean, it tasted like it had alcohol in it. Chocolate was good. Four of us had burgers with sides...this is what we tried: The Front Porch burger (thumbs up) with shoestring fries (they are SUPER skinny!) The Lockhart Legend burger (yum!) with onion rings (huge! rings not chopped) OMG burger (wasn't falling apart and drippy, tasty but a little too much mustard) Ghost burger (my friend likes spicy stuff to make him cry. This didn't but he was happy with the spiciness and flavor) Chili (no beans, has a good hearty flavor to it) We all enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back! On a side note... one of the girls working was telling us how they have the employees try all of the meals on the menu so they know what everything tastes like. I thought that was really cool. I know if I ask about one of the burgers or one of the other dishes, they can honestly say how something tastes and not be guessing. *Came back a second time today. Burgers were still a good size and tasty. Tried the sweet potato fries this time...good, but would be better if they were crispier. It seems like they are heavy handed with the condiments on the burgers which is good to know for future visits. *We have come here four times now and have yet to be disappointed. Brought other people with us three of those times and they all enjoyed their food also.

I have been to Grub twice now, and enjoyed it both times. My favorite part is the originality they put into their menu. My boyfriend always gets the burger with the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce and raves about it. I myself get the vegetarian option. It too, is delicious. Both burgers contain ingredients that we have never heard of or tried before (i.e. Dr pepper sauce). We love their skinny fries. They are large enough to just order one and split them. Everything is a la cart, which can get pricey, so we cut corners where we can (i.e. sharing fries). Their non alcoholic drink options are great as well. I am a big iced tea lover, and they have 3 or so to choose from, all fresh brewed and on tap for free refills! I am leaving out 1 star on this review simply because I am a mom of 2 and their kids menu is definitely lacking. With such variety and originality within the "adult" menu, I'm definitely let down that the kids menu is so limited.

The service here is not the best. I recommend really training your people to be nice and happy like at starbucks. Or fire a few. People in customer service need to learn to be happy, or people won't come back. Foods good though which is hard bit to go

My husband and I ate lunch here today. You order at counter then find a seat. They have a bar and a few tables outside. Parking is not great. Our burgers were great!! I got a burger w BBQ sauce onion rings and pickles. Onion rings were super crispy. Delish. My husband got one with pineapple and pulled pork on top and loved it. We also ordered the cheese fries. Fries are crispy shoestring.

I can't understand why anyone would not love these burgers! I see that many negative reviews are service related and being the place is new that may have been an issue, but it definitely was not for me. I got the guacapotle burger and Texas luau fries. Both were very good, but the fries are HUGE, enough to be a side for 4 people. I also got their margarita which had jalapeño pepper in it giving it some heat, which I liked. The buns are made every hour and you could taste the difference. It's not a good burger without a good bun. The service was very friendly and the woman went over the whole menu with us giving some of her own recommendations and answering questions. My only criticisms are it was a LOT of food and it is very heavy. Not a place for those counting their calories

Place is really nice inside and staff was friendly. We each ordered the porch burger and added fries & drinks. Fries were good, shoestring type, crunchy and salty. Burgers were great. A friend and I recently went here for an early dinner (about 4pm) and had a great time! The menu was concise and the servers were kind and quick. Going in at about 4, there weren't many customers, so this seems like a good time to go. The food was also great! If you generally eat smaller portions, like me, just a warning that these portions are pretty large. At first I thought the price was a bit high, but it was certainly worth it. I will definitely be coming back!

One of the most tender burgers I've ever eaten! It melted in my mouth and was deliciously flavored. I had the Big Boy Blue and it wasn't overpowered with cheese. My only criticism was that the French fries were overly salted - this from someone who adds salt to everything! The milkshakes were sinfully delicious too. I appreciated that the hostesses cleaned the menus. There's nothing more disgusting than ordering from a menu with food in it. The service was friendly and quick. I wanted to place an order to go after I finished my meal and the waitress took my order at the table after bringing my food and the take out food came out just as we finished eating. Perfect timing. Will definitely return to try more burgers!

This place recently opened in my neighborhood. I've eaten there once and really enjoyed it. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. It's a nice looking place, sort of like very upscale fast food. They have a nice menu with a lot of burger choices and some unique desserts which I didn't try. They have a large full bar, and although they have the bar they're not open late which is strange. Our wait staff was very efficient. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood.

The main reason why I only gave it 3 stars was for the price. I really like the concept! While we waited in line to order we were told which table would be reserved for us, I ordered the Greek chicken sandwich with a side of tabbouleh, and the ET shake which came to $18!!! Food was brought to our table in a timely manner, sever was friendly. Chicken was well flavored, could of used more tzatziki sauce and less feta. The tabbouleh had a lot of liquid, shake was awesome.

Went 2 weeks ago with my mom. Sat at the bar, great interior, bunch of TVs, great beer selection. We got a Guacapotle burger and the Burger of the Sea. Holy crap, they were both amazing. Especially the Burger of the Sea, it's "Ahi tuna steak, hand chopped, topped with sprouts, arugula, pickled ginger and wasabi-teriyaki dressing. Served medium-rare on a wheat bun." And the buns are amazing, fresh cooked. I'll be sure to come back

Great food, fresh & tasty. Lots of great options, including vegetarian ones. Not a big fan of the elevated seating. There are only a couple of tables that have regular seating & they seem to be designated for people waiting in line rather than eating meals. It's fine if you're w people who feel spry enough to get up on a stool. ...or you can do take out. Too bad as it's otherwise a very nice place to eat a meal.

This place has potential but the owner is an a-hole. Service was slow and food wasn't that good like everyone is saying on here. Five stars??? Wow, really?? I can make a better burger.

  • Phi N.

Why can't you make a normal cheese burger? Cheese lettuce mayo tomato onion pickle?? All the burgers have crap on them. My front porch was so salty it was almost inedible. The fries were not fresh, and not warm and old. Also wayyy too salty. Patties were smaller than the buns! Don't you hate that? Come on my patty was half the size of the bun. The lettuce was wilted and tomato was old and soggy. DH and I won't be back. His burger was too salty. The sweet tea is crap! Good: onion rings place is over rated. Keep it consistent folks. The person taking the order should have asked if I wanted cheese and or make it a double patty since the patty was shriveled up so small. Doesn't make sense-love how they brag about the bun-ironic since burgers require a good patty and a good bun. Duh. Not recommended. Also parking is a bitch and so not worth it. Sorry to leave this bad review but I'm mad I wasted time driving over there and money to try it!

I really enjoyed this place. We didn't really know anything about the place when we went in, but someone came up to us right away and explained the process. The first thing that stuck out to me on the menu was a burger that had a Dr. Pepper bbq sauce on it. Being from Texas, it spoke to me, and I looked no further. My hubby decided on the same thing, and we went to find a place to sit down after ordering. The waitress spotted our two year old and asked us right away if we needed a child seat. I was a little worried after looking around because most of the tables were bar height which are not high chair friendly. But she hooked a little seat on the side of the table for us and our little one thought it was really cool. I was a little bummed to realize our burgers didn't come with fries, but after eating the whole thing, I wouldn't have had room anyway. Our food was DELICIOUS, and the waitress was super attentive and friendly. After we finished our burgers, I decided to get a salted caramel shake and it was seriously the best shake I've ever had. I freaking LOVE milkshakes, so that's saying something. I'm gonna have to go back soon and try all the other kinds of shakes! I believe the waitress said they were dairy and gluten free as well, so if that's an issue for you, fear not! The bar seemed popular (we're not really drinkers, so didn't partake) so it looked like a pretty cool happy hour place as well. Definitely give this place a try.

Great food. Love the topping combos on the burgers. I usually sit at the bar to skip the line, which can be long. Bartenders are super friendly despite being slammed. Seems like management is doing a great job of trying to keep customers happy: giving out delicious milkshake samples to the long line and vouchers for free stuff in the future for little hiccups that are bound to happen in a new place. My brother-in-law got a burger that was a little undercooked, and a manager was quick to apologize, get a new one, and give him a voucher. Fries are good. Wasn't impressed with their side salad, but it's a pretty typical one for this type of restaurant. Kind of strange set up: order at the counter and a food runner brings it out, but there is still waitstaff in the dining area who will take more orders and refill drinks that you originally filled yourself. Can sometimes get a little too much service.

First time here tonight and we had a great experience. Food was very good (those fries are killer), and service was very friendly and attentive. One of the owners, Evan Chizik came over to check on our experience, and he couldn't have been nicer-made the experience that much more positive. We will most definitely be back, and recommend it highly!

burgers are good, bacon is not crispy at all :( i did get the worms and dirt milkshake, it was good, but not much to it. now I've never worked in a bar, but i have worked in the dessert field, safe serve certified. they touch EVERYTHING! The tops of straws, the gummy worms and cookies they put on top of milkshakes. I will not get another milkshake for that reason.

I've tried this place 3 times now with only one slightly good experience, 1 slightly bad one, and 1 really bad one. The biggest complaint I have is inconsistency in doneness... mostly in how the burgers are cooked. I like my burgers medium. And when I'm paying for a "premium" burger, I expect to be ASKED how I want it cooked. And I expect it to be at least CLOSE to how I wanted it cooked. 2 out of the 3 burgers I had here were burned to crisp. One was just about inedible. The place was super-packed with a line out the door on a Friday evening so the guy on the grille was probably trying to rush burgers out quickly... and it was terrible. Cons: Expensive, crowded, not enough parking for a weekend dinner rush, burned burgers on occasion. Pros: Has a bar, nice decor, burger recipes are actually good (when not destroyed by a burned burger) This place has potential, but the single most important thing to get right at a burger bar is the actual burger patty itself.

The burgers were really good but they really need to work on the service. I sat at the bar and it took over ten mins to even get a drink. ..it wasn't even busy! I got the turkey burger and it was delicious, the chipotle aioli made the burger. The skinny fries were nice and crispy. The look of the place was super trendy. Once the service improves, this place will be a lot better!

Went here for the first time last week for dinner with a bunch of girl friends. I was a little disappointed after finishing dinner, I was still plenty hungry. I ordered the sweet potato fries with my burger which were amazing, but I was left wanting more. I thought maybe I should've ordered a shake with the burger and fries, but I didn't originally want one. I did get a taste of the mint chocolate and nutella shakes, both of which were amazingly good. Next time I go I guess I'll be ordering a shake with my burger, and hopefully I won't leave hungry.

The food here is great - however, the service could use A LOT of work. I saw this place on many drives while it was being built and I couldn't wait to try it. My boyfriend and I went here on a random Tuesday night - I got the front porch burger and he got the Texas luau burger and we split the sweet potato fries. Like I said, the food is great but we sat at the bar and the bartendar had to ask us multiple times what we had ordered. He didn't write our original order down, he forgot what we both ordered. My boyfriend also has a gluten allergy so it was really important that his come with the gluten free roll. I was pretty worried about that. He also gave my boyfriend the wrong wine but thankfully, charged us for the correct one. Honestly, the bartendar seemed drunk or out of it. It was just a weird experience. All in all the food was good and I would really like to go back and try the milkshakes however, my boyfriend and his friend just went back yesterday and had a terrible experience with the cashier. Our friend asked for his food to go to which he replied, "ugh, god dammit! I asked if you were eating here together or to go!" He didn't ask him that - he asked if they were PAYING together. He had a really awful attitude and made them both really uncomfortable. This alone is enough to make me not want to return.
